ASEAN’s Role in

MYANMAR CRISIS

Our latest project, an insightful animation titled “ASEAN’s Role in the Myanmar Crisis,” represents a pivotal piece in our portfolio. This animation addresses the complex question of whether the ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting (ADMM) is indirectly contributing to the violence in Myanmar by engaging with the military junta. We meticulously explored the ties between ASEAN, ADMM, and the Myanmar military, revealing potential inadvertent support for a regime facing serious human rights abuse allegations.

Our team worked diligently to present a clear, engaging narrative that calls for urgent action: the cancellation of ADMM-Plus counterterrorism exercises co-chaired by Myanmar and Russia, and the exclusion of junta members from all ADMM-Plus activities. This project underlines our commitment to shedding light on challenging geopolitical issues and advocating for change.

This animation stands as a testament to our dedication to impactful storytelling and social advocacy. It serves not just as a piece of content, but as a call to action, urging ASEAN to firmly uphold human rights and democracy.
